Welcome to the 2011-2012 school year!

 

I am Larry Buchanan and I look forward to leading San Altos this year as we venture to new heights.  Our mission at San Altos is to value every student's culture and to provide a safe environment where students can engage a challenging curriculum that meets their academic needs.  The Lemon Grove District adopted a new Math curriculum two years ago and students are showing outstanding improvement in that area.  This year the District is adopting a new English Language Arts curriculum and we are excited about what the future holds for our students in this area.

 

School starts for students on September 6, 2011.  The office opens on August 25, 2011.  Our new school hours for students are from 8:15 a.m. until 2:25 p.m.  It is very important that students are lined up on the black top at 8:15 a.m. daily.  (PRESCHOOL HOURS WILL CONTINUE TO BE FROM 8:00 - 11:00 A.M. AND FROM 12:00 - 3:00 P.M.)
